100 Layer Cake

“This just in: Your hair totally *can* inspire your wedding theme. This soft blue is everything! ‘This is true bliss in Brooklyn! This styled shoot embodied bohemian chic in this spring wedding, complimented by hues of blue and touches of macramé. Captured at the hidden gem of Brooklyn, Deity—we pulled out all of the stops to inspire the free-spirited bride. We love how styled shoots help wedding vendors stretch their creativity and show off some of the more unique designs.”

Brooklyn is a more casual spot in NYC, which we love, but that means it does not always follow tradition even for a wedding day. This couple did it in the most ‘glam-tastic’ way possible. Michael wore a classic black tux and Jenny wore a sequence evening gown. Our heart skipped a beat with this non-traditional spin to a classic formal look for their Brooklyn Wedding. They even got to celebrate their love with newborn in tow. Emotions ran high as they got to say their vows as a complete family.

Bitchless Bride

I love that Marianna will tell you she’s really a unicorn. I will tell you she’s really a badass. But, actually, I think she’s really a unicorn disguised as a bride and I find her magical… Marianna said that, “People used to tell me I would never get married with pink hair and a nose ring, but now I am married to my best friend.” WTF?? Why do people say that shit? And, more importantly, why do we believe it? We shouldn’t! And, thankfully, Marianna didn’t believe that shit, and married a cool guy who clearly (based on the amazing pics below), getsher. Bridey, you are who you are, you’ll marry who you marry, and your wedding will be amazing. PERIOD.”

The Vintage Herald

This styled shoot took place in quite a special wedding venue. Once a previous synagogue, Deity boasts over five floors and includes unique features such as brick walls, stained glass windows, an indoor tree of life, and copper bathtub in a Victorian style bridal suite (aka our dream bedroom). We’ve had the pleasure of featuring another fabulous wedding that occurred at this stunning location and can vouch for its beauty. Deity provides a classy urban vibe that marries perfectly with vintage touches. This wedding proves it once again.”

Bridal Beauty

Her Hollywood-Glam dress is an homage to the 1920s, which is a perfect fit for this art-deco wedding venue housed in a former synagogue that boasts brick walls, hand made bar and stained glass windows, antique mirrors and chandeliers.

A beautiful couple, lovely venue, and simple-yet-elegant details throughout make this a sweet and lovely vintage inspired wedding.
