We don’t just host events; we curate experiences.

ABOUT US

Brick building with two dark wooden doors, a black curtain-covered entrance, and a sign for a wedding on a gold easel, decorated with gold ropes and lanterns, with trees partially visible.

The story of Deity began in 2004, when founder and owner Caio Dunson undertook a massive multi-year renovation to rescue an 1860s landmark from disrepair.

OUR BUILDING

Originally constructed in the mid-19th century, the building’s storied past includes a 1916 transformation into a synagogue—which added its iconic Art Deco facade—and a later life as an antique furniture store.

With the help of family and friends, Caio gut-renovated the structure and excavated the Cellar, carefully preserving the building’s historic soul while installing the modern infrastructure necessary for world-class events.

Today, Deity stands as Brooklyn’s premier all-inclusive, full-service venue.
