MEET EXECUTIVE CHEF JAMES NEAL

The Creative Force Behind The Supper Club

Our Executive Chef, James, brings an unparalleled passion for creating memorable dining experiences to our Supper Club. Growing up in Charleston, South Carolina, James discovered his life’s purpose: to bring people together through food. His journey to New York City allowed him to learn from culinary legends like John Fraser, Dan Barber, and David Bouley, shaping his philosophy of utilizing seasonal, local ingredients to craft dishes that tell a story.

The Supper Club offers an intimate, vibrant atmosphere with an emphasis on great food, creative beverage pairings, and thoughtful conversation. It’s a gathering designed to feel like an elevated evening among friends, where guests are immersed in a seamless blend of bold flavors, innovative techniques, and warm hospitality.

Through thoughtful attention to detail, from curated drink menus to interactive courses inspired by global influences like Korean banchan, James creates a dining experience that is as engaging as it is delicious. The Supper Club is more than a meal—it’s a test kitchen, a celebration of creativity, and a glimpse into the future of Deity’s culinary adventures.

Brooklyn Nights Just Got Better

We’re excited to announce that our bar is now open to the public on select evenings—including after Supper Club dinners! Whether you’re stopping by for a handcrafted cocktail or just great company, we can’t wait to welcome you into the Deity experience.

To make your night even better, our updated bar menu features a mix of creative and classic offerings, designed to elevate every sip and every moment.

Open thursday - saturday evenings

The Deity bar will be open to the public from 5 PM – 12 AM, unless we are closed for a private event. 

The supper club dining calendar

The Supper Club dining experience takes place every week Thursday through Saturday, unless we are closed for a private event. There are 2 seatings per evening, at 6PM & 8PM. 

 

The bar at Deity will be open to the public Thursday through Sunday, 5 PM – 12 AM.
